In the Eastern Region of Ghana, you will experience a rich blend of dramatic landscapes, historic relics and Ghanaian tradition. In this region you will see Lake Volta, one of the worlds largest man-made lakes together with the Akosombo Dam, which is a source of Ghana’s hydroelectric power supply. It is in this region where Dodi Island is located.
This region contains Ghana’s only commercial diamond mine and is the birthplace of Ghana’s great cocoa industry.
